What is Salvation? - Paul Washer

At this moment God commands all men to repent and believe that today is the day of salvation that you are to flee from the wrath to come; to flee from the law of Moses that condemns you into the city of refuge who is Jesus Christ our Lord. 

Run to Him. 

Repentance is simply giving up to stop fighting against God and to stop attempting to gain your own salvation through your own works to literally give up and fall upon Christ. That is salvation. 

So that you say nothing in my hands I bring, simply to the cross I claim.  And when that seed grows in you to the point where you know that you are standing before God is one hundred absolutely percent based and founded upon the perfect work and merit of Jesus Christ. Then you stand before Him with the confidence knowing that all your sins have been atoned for and then you are righteous in Christ.

Come to Him.

헤겔 曰, 동양은 정체의 왕국, 반대로 서양은 절대 정신에 의해 새로워 지는 문명.

동양 사람들이야 말로 日新 日日新 又日新(:실로 새로워지려면 하루하루 새롭게 하고 또 새롭게 하라)는 정신을 가진 문명

한국 사람들은 정체를 싫어한다. Ex) 인터넷, 최초 샤머니즘(풍류지도), 삼국 초기~고려말(2천여년) 불교 문명(국보 80% 이상이 불교 유적), 조선시대(500년여년) 유교 문명, 구한말~ 기독교 문명, 기독교가 잘못되면 기독교 역시 싹 쓸어버릴 것이다. 기독교도 영원할 수 없지 않은가.

인류에서 이렇게 변화가 많은 민족이 있는가?

우리 민족은 진리를 추구하는 민족이지 특정한 종교에 미치는 민족이 아니다.

기독교의 특징 : 찬송가 종교 : 모이면 노래 부른다.
어떤 종교도 기독교와 대항을 못하는 이유 : 찬송가 수준이 대항이 안 된다.
기독교에서는 남녀 노소 구분 없이 같이 노래 부른다. 구한 말 사회에 이것은 충격적.

기독교가 절대 교리 때문에 급성장 한 것은 아니다.
기독교 교리처럼 미신적 성격이 짙은 것도 없다. 비슷한 사상(부활신앙)은 미륵사상에도 있다.

우리민족에게 기독교는 풍류(風流)의 재현이었고, 교회는 서낭당의 근대적 변용이었다.

풍류(신바람, 춤, 노래, 놀기…), 불교, 유교, 기독교 그 모든 습성이 한국인 내면에 내재해 있었고, 지금 현재도 민족 근저에는 전체적 종교의 습성이 존재하고 있다. 따라서 모든 인류의 사상을 종합하고 있는 민족이다. 이러한 총체적 정신적 자산을 가지고 활용한다면 세계를 주도해 나가는 민족이 될 수 있을 것이다.
